Searching in EBSCO

EBSCO Overview

EBSCOhost logo

EBSCO is a search interface through which users can access databases, electronic full text, and other resources.

The Bird Library's EBSCO resources include content we purchase, cooperative purchasing with OU-Norman, and content provided through a statewide licensing agreement.

EBSCO - Useful Databases for the Health Sciences

The combination of resources and search tools provided by EBSCO makes it one of the primary interfaces for literature searching in the health sciences and related disciplines.

You may consider the following databases useful starting points, however, ask a librarian if you need guidance:

  • CINAHL Ultimate
  • SPORTDiscus with Full Text
  • Mental Measurements Yearbook with Tests in Print
  • Academic Search Premier
  • Business Source Elite
  • Social Work Abstracts
  • SocINDEX
  • Sociological Collection

*Note that it is typically recommended you only search one database at a time.
