TECHNICAL SPECS for the Craftbot+
- The Craftbot+ 3D Printers use 1.75mm Polylactic Acid (PLA) Filament
- The Crafbot+ creates prints using .stl or .obj file types
- We use Craftware software to prepare(slice) the 3D files to print
- CraftWare is a FREE, fast, easy-to-use slicer software that converts a digital 3D object into a .gcode toolpath format understood by most 3D printers.
- Each printer has a build volume of 250x200x200mm (approx. 10” x 8” x 8”)
- Printing technology: Fused Filament Fabrication
- The measurements of items should be designed in millimeters, not inches
TECHNICAL SPECS for the Ultimaker S5
- The Ultimaker S5 printer use 2.85mm (3mm) Filament with various materials
- The Ultimaker S5 creates prints using .stl, .obj, .x3d, or .3mf file types
- We use Ultimaker Cura software to prepare(slice) the 3D files to print
- Ultimaker Cura is a FREE, fast, easy-to-use slicer software that converts a digital 3D object into a .ufp toolpath format understood by the Ultimaker family of 3D printers. The .ufp differs .gcode in that the Cura software packages a .gcode file with an image file and some extra information for the printer. This allows for previews of the print on the printer's interface when printing with USB as well as preventing the printer from using an incompatible material if the wrong material is currently loaded.
- The Ultimaker S5 is also what's called a Dual Extrusion 3d printer due to it having two extrusion heads and the ability to automatically switch between heads and therefore materials in the middle of a print job. This allows for prints such as dual material (color) integrated components or using a different material for support structures that allow for easy removal during post-print processing.
- The printer has a build volume of 330x240x300mm (approx. 13” x 9.4” x 11.8”)
- Printing technology: Fused Filament Fabrication
- The measurements of items should be designed in millimeters, not inches
